Had a chill lad back vibe great selection of whiskey & food & great service

Reluctantly tried to meet up with friends here after a previous bad experience. Service has not changed, overbearing bouncers, left within 15 minutes. So many other great venues in Newtown!! So much potential, if I could give no star I would.

Funky little rooftop bar, but you will need to scale 3 flights of stairs , straight up, to get there, which isnt so bad going up if you take it slow, but can get a bit dicey on the way down!

The bar itself is full of quirky objects and paraphernalia where they specialise in whiskey, whiskey cocktails and whiskey drinks. All manner of whiskey inspired beverages can be had here.

the outdoor space is a welcome addition to the Newtown bar scene though it can get packed pretty quickly. It is also a little confusing as there are only certain parts of the outdoor area where you can drink, smoke and eat. Read the signs plastered all around the area and if in doubt ask a friendly local.

Extremely busy on a Friday night with uni students. Our cocktail just tasted like orange juice, unfortunately. But the rooftop is nice on days that aren't so busy.

This is a great place. I like the atmosphere and the the multiple levels offering different experiences.
Incredible whiskey selection. Friendly and helpful staff. My only complaint was was the kitchen has shut down by 11, but that's just how it goes(it was a Thursday night).

I've held a few events here and have had an excellent time. I also come in for a casual drink and am always happy on all fronts: there's a rough eftpos minimum on the rooftop bar, though, so be warned! I love the couches on the middle level.

I love the renovation. All 3 levels are really good places to enjoy. This used to be called the Zanzibar and now Websters, so don't get confused by the name change. Great for groups and catch ups.

The decor has been spiced up a lot since this place had a makeover. They have really emphasised the 'whiskey bar' vibe. Very masculine looking inside, with lots of leather seats, dark wood tables and a bit of a 1920s speakeasy feel to it. A few interesting beers on tap. A good cocktail menu too, with prices at about $20 per drink. You can hire out sections of the second floor for private events. The top floor roof top can get a bit crowded.

We had the pork ribs, very good. Try them! The bartender who took our order was very helpfull and he let me taste a wide range of beers. Polite staff, the food came quickly. Not the best atmosphere, too big restaurant with too many empty tables. They should let their guests eat and order food at all the roof terrace tables.

A friend of mine recently organised to book a small section of the top level for her birthday. She had organised for roughly 60 guests and was told the day before that if everyone didn't arrive around 6:30 they would start giving their tables to other people.

When we arrived there were already people sitting at our tables and the management made no effort to rectify this. We were forced to awkwardly ask people to leave to make room for our friends.

Finally later on in the night we were asked by one of the bar staff to turn off a small UE Boom speaker that we had playing our own music. We kindly obliged despite that no other patrons had complained.

A short while later one of our friends who didn't know about the request went and turned on the music again. Within 5 minutes the management forced the entire party of 60 people out of the venue despite us explaining that the person who turned on the music didn't know and we happily offered to turn it off again.

My first and definitely my last Webster's experience.
Was much better when it was called Zanzibar.

Buzzing place. The levels and the vibe is different on each. On level two the bar tender does know his whiskies!

Great food and a lovely atmosphere. Priced quite fairly too. Can be a bit overcrowded however so pick your timing
