Wentworthville Medical & Dental Centre

I am so scared of Dentists and it had taken all my strength to walk into the centre. Once there Louise at the front Desk made me feel so special and even offered to give up her lunch to sit with me while my teeth were getting fixed. Then I meet Dr Patel and what a lovely caring man he is, I have been back 4 times and still have 3 to go. I still have the fear of Dentists when I walk in and they know how I am and settle me down every time. The Dental nurses are the best as well. Thank you to all of you.

Very lazy staff and doctors. Won't recommended this place to anymore. The lack of knowledge by the doctors is concerning.

Ive been coming to this medical center for years no problem but tonight I had the worse receptionist serve me I stood infront of her for 5 minutes before she acknowledged me and then decided to say that I may not be seen as there is a delay.. Ok how about tell me that first before you make me wait.. Rude and unprofessional!

Shonky medical centre. after 3 different doctors i was diagnosed with a double hernia. the first doctor didn't examine me but knew exactly what was wrong with me - not the case. the second doctor was very bizarre and told me to get a new job or one like his - idiot. the third doctor was very good and found out what was wrong and referred me to a specialist.

After waiting a couple of months for the specialist, i attended my appointment to find out it was cancelled by the specialist receptionist. she made one phone call the prior week that i could not answer because I cant use my phone at work, i returned the call but got an answer machine. so i went into the centre. the normal receptionist said it was probably a reminder- if it was important they would have continued to call.
There was no further attempt to contact me. I even received an reminder via text to attend my appointment. the receptionist said she didn't have time to cancel the reminder. absolutely useless. she left no message, made very little effort to contact me and and made no effort to make another appointment. So she cost me a days wages when i turned up for the consultation that I didn't know had been cancelled. maybe she is the one that should get another job, packing boxes would be more suitable.

1. Pathology collection is simply horrible-
Last occasion waited over twenty minutes for my mother; however noticed no patient inside that room and staff were quite busy making fun on each other. I was criticized for knocking that door causing disruption on their personal discussion. After collecting blood my wife’s hand movement was restricted for over a week.
2. Reception-
My 12 years son recently fractured his collarbone and was on acute pain. There were ten patients waiting before us for that doctor we were intending to see. Considering the waiting period and his condition- I physically attended and requested to enter my son’s name and place him in waiting queue which they refused, because he wasn’t inside the medical centre and was on his way accompanied by my wife.

I also noticed in absence of my family member (whether to collect a report or follow-up issues on their behalf) I need to provide my Medicare details before them to see a doctor.

Incompetent. I have health care training & what I saw in the treatment room was disgraceful. If were are un-trained, you would not know but, Things such as basic hand washing between patients is sometimes ignored and when they do, its not correctly performed. WHo knows how their infection control practices are performed?

Very disorganised, not enough Drs for number of patients waiting. Waited for an hour to see Dr and the consultation lasted no more than 10 minutes. Dr was nice but very hard to understand. Wouldn't go back there again. Recently made that mistake of going back again to vaccinate my child! The nurse's room was dirty with blood on sheets on the bed where she asked me to place the baby!!! DISGUSTING.

Had a very common condition. Doctor googled my condition who then concluded:
"You either have a tumor or allergies".

No referral or advice to alleviate my symptoms. Incompetent but good for a laugh.

Although I dont like many of the doctors at Wentworthville Medical Centre, the ONLY doctor that I will head to is Dr Ali - No other doctor in any medical centre has ever come close to caring about his patients the way that he does. His meticulous attention to detail is second to none and has pin pointed medical issues where other doctors have not been able to. I cannot recommend him highly enough. My whole family including my sisters and my mother will not see anyone else.
