West Words Fest

WestWordsFest2019 is a FESTIVAL FOR WRITERS weekend with workshops and panels - Saturday & Sunday, September 14 & 15, 2019.

This year, our festival will take on a new identity, with a focus on speculative fiction. Once again, there will be opportunities to meet with fellow writers and editors and the chance to learn, network and share ideas. There will be representatives from publishing houses, opportunities to pitch your work, purchase the books of others, along with seminars and workshops on various aspects of the craft of writing, plus some fun events. Most of all, the festival promises to be enticing, exciting and inspiring. As in previous years, the venue will be Western Plains Cultural Centre.

Every year, we bring the best of Australia's industry professionals to Dubbo to run writing workshops, participate in panels aimed at demystifying the publishing process, take pitches and provide opportunities for regional writers to launch, promote and sell their books.
