Western Grains is a Western Grain Rural is a family owned business, based in Hillston in the Western Riverina district of NSW.

We specialise in grain trading, bulk freight transport, and grain storage. Being based in a small rural community, we are strongly committed to supporting all aspects of the agricultural community and strive to provide a quality service at affordable rates.


GRAIN TRADING

Western Grain Rural is a domestic trader of wheat, barley, maize, cottonseed and pulses. John Fitzgerald is our Grain Trader, with 25 years’ experience in the domestic market, and in more recent years he has made a move into the export market.

Our current export program is in the development phase, with John recently returning from South Korea, where he has built client relations for the export of cottonseed, cottonseed pellets and almond hulls.

Whether you are looking to buy, sell or export your grain, John can provide a reliable and competitive service.

As added security, Western Grain Rural’s trading book is fully insured with National Credit Insurance, providing payment guarantee.

John can also supply a range of high quality stockfeeds to meet all your requirements. With our bulk tipper fleet, our Transport Manager Kye is able to co-ordinate the transport of your grain or feed, allowing for a smooth and easy ‘one stop shop’ transaction.


BULK TRANSPORT

Western Grain Rural has a well maintained fleet of bulk tippers, available in single, double and road train configurations.

We are NHVAS accredited for both mass and maintenance. Our Transport Manager, Kye Bengston, coordinates our trucks to service your needs. We can cart your grain and your fertiliser all year round. We can also supply high quality gypsum, lime and manure.

With competitive rates, and innovative solutions, Kye can ensure all your cartage requirement are met in a timely and professional manner.


STORAGE

Western Grain Rural has significant on site storage facilities. All storage is sealed and well maintained.

We are fully licensed in pest control, and keep to a strict regime of pest management. All pest control procedures are fully documented, and communicated to our clients. As your grain is received onsite, we sample and test it, and can provide detailed inturn reports.

We can also coordinate with our Transport Manager to arrange any cartage you require for in-turn and out-turn.
