Western Local Land Services

About Western Local Land Services

Local Land Services provides agricultural production advice, biosecurity, natural resource management and emergency management services.

Western Local Land Services Description

Western Local Land Services is accountable for delivering services that add value to local industries, enhance natural resources, protect industries from pests and disease and help communities respond to emergencies like flood, fire and drought.

Our Board is headed by a local Chair, who works closely with farmers, landholders and communities and seeks input from three Local Community Advisory Groups and three Aboriginal Community Advisory Groups.

We work in partnerships with farmers and farming groups, advising on best management farming practices and delivering the latest research and development outcomes for on-farm application.

Local Land Services Officers assist farmers and farming groups to increase the productivity and profitability of their farming operation.

We also work closely with research and development organisations like the Department of Primary Industries (DPI), Grains Research & Development Corporation, Meat & Livestock Australia and local irrigation associations.

Our experts deliver education programs, coordinate local producer groups and hold field days on timely and locally relevant topics.
