We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and fully qualified chef to assist in running our large and busy restaurant kitchen. White Sands Estate is a family resort offering a casual dining experience with stunning views overlooking the ocean. It features high quality modern Australian cuisine, with an emphasis on fabulous, fresh seafood caught in the local area. Offering a 60 seat restaurant and function rooms that often cater for a variety of events including weddings and corporate functions. The successful applicant will have previous experience: • Managing a busy kitchen • Setting menus and food pricing • Ordering and monitoring supplies • Rostering staff
Attention to detail is a must, as is demonstrated culinary expertise. We want someone with creativity and passion to help us produce innovative dishes and enhance the overall dining experience for our customers. Family of 4 stayed in a Deluxe Villa for 3 nights over Easter. Property is beautiful with an awesome swimming pool, lovely little lake for kayaking, tennis, surf beach, putting green and a great little cinema. Food in the restaurant was yummy and my husband enjoyed some beer tasting in the adjoining brewery. The views from the deluxe villas are amazing however was a little disappointed with the dated furniture and springy bed. The Villas are looking very tired and could really do with a refurbishment. We also had an issue with a power outage during our stay on the first night. The whole property was affected. Was a shock to wake at 5am in 6degree temperatures with no power. We tried ringing the emergency contact numbers supplied with no answer? The power thankfully came back on around 7.30am but it would have been nice if management had acknowledged this disruption.
