Who Dares Pty Ltd is Australia's leading provider of traffic management, set security, and stunt & safety services to the entertainment, advertising and special events industries.

Over the past 25 years we've worked on hundreds of projects for scores of customers who specialise in feature film, television, commercials and music video production, along with many more projects for clients who organise music festivals, fun runs and other events with a high level of public participation.

Our services

Who Dares has four operational units: Traffic Planning & Management, Film & Event Security, Location Search & Management, and our Stunt & Safety Booking Agency.

The types of projects we work on include: shoots for feature films, TV series, commercials and music videos; events such as fun runs, music festivals, community parades, promotional events and corporate parties; construction projects; and safety audits.

Company history

Who Dares was founded in 1986 by Sydney-based stunt coordinator and safety supervisor Rangi Nicholls. The business name is derived from the “Who Dares Wins” motto of the New Zealand Special Air Service, in which Rangi had served. His vision for the company was to provide a range of complementary services to the local film industry, and to build a reputation for excellence, reliability, and other positive values espoused by the SAS.

After establishing itself as a provider of expert stunt and safety personnel, Who Dares added security and traffic control to its range of services, and eventually began working on music festivals, sporting events, parades, and other projects outside of film and TV production.

Rangi passed away in 1996 but left behind a successful, highly-regarded business which continues to grow under the direction of his wife Katherine. In late 2010, Who Dares branched into a fourth area of operation by offering location search and management services to its customers.
