From the outset, you should be aware of the high-pressure sales tactics from the salesperson who comes to your home to do the initial quotation. They will offer a significant discount (up to 20%) if you sign a twenty-page contract on the spot. Unfortunately, if you do choose to proceed, this is the last time you will see or hear from this part of the Wholesale team. From here, you are resigned to deal with sub contractor after sub contractor - and even though you pay Wholesale a "project management fee", please know that you will be expected to manage all of the trades, which can be very challenging. My 5 square metre apartment kitchen took 13 weeks - and they ended up essentially walking away from the job. In that time, the plumber they used flooded my apartment, so I had to independently chase up compensation through his personal insurance (Wholesale wanted nothing to do with the matter). It took six weeks for them to locate and secure a plasterer to do the cornices... every single trade complained about the location of the apartment (I live 14 kms from the Sydney CBD - they were all travelling from the South Coast or the outskirts of Sydney). I eventually managed to get a supervisor to the apartment to address the unfinished work and obvious faults. He filled out a form noting 9 significant items that needed to be repaired / replaced - and that was it. No more contact from Wholesale! They had their money (and you pay the trades separately and in cash anyway), so I suppose they simply didn't care. If I want a finished kitchen, I will have to hire trades myself and source the parts that are required. If I could give this company less than one star, I would. I would never recommend them - in fact, I actively discourage anyone from engaging their services.

WHOLESALE KITCHENSh are the worst company to deal. They outsource the installation and the final measurement checks with 3different companies. They are cowboys. My kitchen has not been finished and yet I have paid fIir everything. The installer Anthony from Manchester, told me to sign a form saying I was not happy. He said he would fill in everything, well he didnt and the promises he made about fixing up everything after Christmas has not happened. I am a widow and have had to sell my home and buy this 1bedroom unit and now I have an unfinished kitchen and i am down $15,000. I have been in touch with fair trading and they are looking into this. I hope others call fair trading NSW and stop these bastards once and for all. I have had 4 kitchens installed in different homes and have always been very pleased.

After service is non existent - the word appalling springs to mind. Even the Area Manager won't respond to emails and calls. Too bad if you have a problem, which I did - many of them in fact. You can phone, email and even use their online platform and you don't get anywhere. You will speak with a different person each time. The process has been stressful and honestly scary as they have full payment prior to install - Non negotiable.
Save yourself the stress, worry and being treated like you don't matter and go elsewhere.

Quality was good. Delivery was late, they brought my pregnant wife to tears a few times. The designer was terrible, not competent and pushy and pushing to close a deal rather than designing something good. The installer was excellent. After service was good.

If you've done your homework, and know what you want, you'll get the best kitchen possible, at a great price.

Wholesale Kitchens gave me the best price for the solid cherrywood timber doors. I designed the layout, and had a private tradesman install, saving me heaps.
