Check out this 1982 VH HDT Commodore owned by John Ricca.
Johns VH HDT was on display at the All Holden Day event held in Hakesbury this weekend just passed. Johns car earnt the perpetual trophy for The Car Of The Day
... The VH is equipped with a 4 speed 5 Litre 308 engine, Genuine 15 inch Irmsher wheels and vividly coated with Marinello Red paint. Every component on the vehicle replaced with NOS Parts or refurbished.

The Sunraysia Safari Cross Country Rally is the largest Cross Country Rally in Australia, and in terms of competitive distance, may in fact be the longest rally overall. Run mainly in the Wentworth Shire in Outback NSW, and utilising properties in the Wentworth, Pooncarie, and Mildur...a regions.

Our featured car of the week is a 1962 EK Holden which belongs to the late Rodney Brooksy Brooks and his beloved family.
Rodneys son Trent was kind enough to pay us a visit last week to give us a look at his Fathers pride and joy.
The vehicle has been fully restored and looks immaculate inside and out and is dedicated to Brooksy.
... The 1962 EK Won the trophy for the car of the day at the recent All Holden Day event in Hawkesbury NSW.

In Memory of Rodney ‘Brooksy’ Brooks.
Wholesale Suspension would like to announce that we are sponsoring the trophy for this amazing 1962 Holden EK.
This is no ordinary addition, the story behind this vehicle is moving and full of heart considering the amount of time and effort spent restoring this classic car in the loving memory of Rodney Brooks.
... Rod’s Son Trent was kind enough to drop in for a visit to show us his Fathers ’62 EK Holden, which was his lifelong passion project.
Unfortunately Rod had recently passed away within 24 days of receiving the unpleasant announcement that he had bowel cancer and did not get his final ride in the fully restored car. However the cherished memories of Rod will forever live on within his car.
Rod has always had a soft spot for the EK Holden, his very first car was a Lilac coloured EK Holden. Rod had owned this car since 1992 and did most of the restoration work himself, he meticulously kept records of how much time, money and how many parts even down to the smallest bolt he had put into the restoration.
Gary Bowyer, Joe McKee and the team over at Arjan Motors assisted with finishing restoration of the car within an impressive 14 day time-frame. The Sherwood Green paint job and chrome highlights really stand out. This car is immaculate inside and out.
Everyone has their own way of finding closure and for Rod’s family and friends, finishing this 27 year project and driving it to appear at Rod’s funeral was a loving final farewell to Brooksy. The Brooks family are ready to write and dedicate a new life chapter to Rod and his classic car by displaying it at car conventions or making it out for special events for everyone to enjoy this well presented tribute to Rod.
If you’re heading out to the Hawkesbury Showground for the All Holden day this Sunday August 5th, please make the time to take a look and this wonderful car and appreciate the history behind it.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY VEHICLES BUSHES NEED TO BE REPLACED?
Since bushes isolate vibration and reduce friction between metal parts within the suspension system, the sound of failing bushes is never really subtle at all. If your vehicle is experiencing any of the following symptoms consider it a good indication that your suspension bushes may be due for replacement:
Excess vibration and road noise in the cabin of your vehicle
... Friction sounds such as creaks or banging coming from the under the vehicle.
Any kind of chassis rattling upon impact from bumps such as driveways or other rough road terrain
Overly loose steering
Excessive / un-even Tyre wear
