Wildi.Shop Description

Hi, I'm Jessica! Owner and Creator of Something Joyful! It's always been my dream to have a shop of my own and nothing brings me more joy than creating these one-of-a-kind designs and seeing the connection people have when they read the words that really hit home. I live my life by quotes and I'm so excited and inspired to share them with you!

Located in the beachy neighborhood of the Inner Sunset of San Francisco, Something Joyful is a few breezy blocks from the Pacific Ocean. As a native Californian born and raised in Santa Cruz, the ocean inspires me every day to keep with the ebb and flow of a creative lifestyle. I started Something Joyful after bailing out of my very corporate, very stressful start-up job as a Human Resources Director. After a decade of motivating the best and brightest in Silicon Valley, it was time for a change and I chose to put my faith in finding joy somewhere new.

How it all began:
I had been looking for an idea to kick off my first #The100DayProject, inspired by Elle Luna's book, The Crossroads of Should and Must. I found my inspiration in a pink, bedazzled, and fuzzy journal that I've had for a long time now. You see, in 2003 a great friend gave me an empty journal with a few choice quotes on the empty pages. For reasons that are only beginning to make sense now, I've added more quotes to that journal ever since. 12 years of scribbles and inspiration that I've carried with me through college, two cross-country moves, broken hearts, big loves, one true love, multiple job changes, the best of times, and the hardest of times. . . you name it. . . It seemed like the perfect place to start. So, every day for over 100 days (and counting) I designed one quote to honor the moment and mood of the day. Some quotes were from famous folks we may all know of and others were from famous folks in my life, though all of the designs are 100% mine. I'm so happy that I have a place like Etsy to share these special creations!
