Alison and Friends sale is June 7, 2016

Willette and Foxdale Holsteins will sell 200 animals from Willette and Foxdale. It also marks the celebration of 50 years farming for well-known Master Breeders, Lloyd and Cathy Chesworth.

Lloyd and Cathy (Willette Holsteins) farm together with their son, Andrew, and wife Kirstie (Foxdale Holsteins) on 500ha at Tocumwal, on the NSW /Victorian border - three hours north of Melbourne.

With 700 cows producing seven million litres. This operation is built on the back of breeding cows with “strength, good legs and shallow udders”. Willette and Foxdale Holsteins also excel in production and components.

Add that to deep maternal lines, high classifications and individual show animals within a big herd – and there is much to celebrate.

"Our breeding programme has been about breeding trouble-free cows to milk in a big herd – that we would be proud to milk and to keep, ” Lloyd said.

The Alison and Friends sale will include more than 100 members of the Alison family – the most dominant maternal line at Willette today. One of those will be the 2015 second-placed five-year-old at International Dairy Week, Willette Wyn Alison EX91-1E, who was also this year’s Reserve All-Australian five-year-old. Five of her VG two-year-old daughters will also sell.

Notably, this is the first time the Alison family will be marketed at auction. And rarely, in today’s landscape, does anyone have the chance to buy into bloodlines that have not already been shared.

Other families that will be represented include: Lila, Kewpie, Klaske, Jostle (Judge’s family), Gail (Rudolph’s family) and Hay (Blackstar’s family).

Whichever way, this sale is packaged it is an exceptional opportunity to buy animals from the heart of one of Australia’s premier herds.
