The Primary School, led by our wonderful Year 6 Leaders, has now well exceeded its target of raising $500.00 for the Cancer Research Foundation by recycling empty plastic bottles. Thank you to all the students and families who brought in their recycling and tokens from the Return and Earn to help raise funds for this important cause as well as helping our environment. Great work!

Thank you to all those in our College community who so generously donated during the last few weeks to support drought-affected communities. More than $2,150 has been raised through the College and this money will be distributed via Anglican Aid. Let's continue to keep those doing it tough in our thoughts and prayers!

On Friday evening, the College Oval was transformed into a sea of tents for the Headmaster’s Great Campout. There was much excitement amongst our K-2 students (and their parents) as they played games, enjoyed a BBQ dinner, raised their voices for the campout sing-a-long and enjoyed a movie under the stars. This event was a marvellous opportunity for our youngest children at the College and their parents to spend some extended time together and create precious memories!
A full wrap-up of the event is now on the Connect K-2 year group pages.

Today is R U OK? Day - a national day of action dedicated to reminding everyone that any day is the day to ask, “Are you ok?” and support those struggling with life.
During recess, Secondary students held a 'Gratitude and Cookies' stall where students received a free cookie when they wrote a note of encouragement for their peers. Awareness was also raised through information handouts, sessions run by counsellors and a lunchtime cake stall. Well done to our students for encouraging each other to start a meaningful conversation!

Over four wonderful performances last week, 95 students from Years 3-6 showcased their talents as part of the first-ever Primary School Musical 'The Gold Thing'. We are very proud of our Primary students who showed courage and creativity in bringing this story to life. Thank you also to the staff, parents and volunteers who supported our Primary School to create something extraordinary!

Last week we celebrated all things science and technology as part of National Science Week. From augmented reality displays to documentary screenings to to our annual Science Fair - students were challenged and encouraged to be fascinated by the world we live in. A special congratulations to the winning Science Fair team for their impressive research into biogas as an energy source!

It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of the Head of Secondary School, Mr Fabian Mandrini, commencing at the College in Term 1, 2019. Mr Mandrini brings to the role a strong commitment to faith, coupled with exceptional educational leadership experience. He is currently the Head of Economics, Business Studies and Commerce at the The King's School in Parramatta.
The Head of Secondary is a new position; following the considered and timely decision to split the combined Deputy/Head of Secondary role due to the increasing size of the College. Mrs Janine Stillen will continue as the College Deputy from 2019.

Over two fun-filled days, Year 9 Commerce students transformed the College into a busy entrepreneurial hub for the hugely-popular Market Day. Students were required to design, produce, market and sell their business idea. Enthusiastic stallholders spruiked their delicious goodies including tacos, chicken wings, milkshakes, pancakes and so much more to hungry customers. It was wonderful to see students put their learning into action, while also making a profit for charity.

To celebrate 30 years at the College, our students rocked on enthusiastically to the sounds of ‘Songs from 1988’ for the ever-popular Inter-House Singing Competition. Congratulations to Andrews House who dominated the stage with a mash-up performance of two classic 1980’s songs, ‘Man in the Mirror’ and ‘Faith’. Well done to all the Houses that competed.

For the first time in four years our College 1st XV Rugby team were victorious today in the annual Charity Shield Rugby Competition! The team played some exciting Rugby throughout the day defeating Redfield College, Arndell and Nowra Anglican College on their way to claiming the trophy. The annual competition sees the College host three visiting schools for a day of competition and raising money for a good cause (this year funds were raised for drought-affected communities). Well done boys!
