My daughter has had one of the worst experiences in her life at this school. She has been disrespected by many teacher and nothing has been done about it. I am appalled with the uniform ridiculously expensive for a pubic school and terrible quality. The only good piece of uniform was the sport jacket which has now been banned. They learn nothing useful and i have tried to remove my daughter from this school and they made me sign paperwork and a whole other load bs! I'm so appalled please please save your family and your daughter stress and leave it to another school

stop acting like a private school and let us wear the sport jumper xoxo

This school has been quite honestly hosted the worst experiences of my life, the teachers are some of the worst people I have ever met, and though some are entirely fine, the majority will wear you down emotionally and physically. By the end of the term you won't even be alive on the inside. I won't even start with how bad the uniform situation is. Actually yes I will. The uniform is ugly, uncomfortable and if you don't want to wear it, hey hey don't worry we've got some itchy ass flare pants. The only redeeming feature was the sports jacket, well guess what, "oops our thumb slipped and we deleted it." You're going to get so weighed down with homework that you're gonna have to be an aluminium cobalt holmium lithium carbon to survive reasonably, you're wearing makeup? Not anymore because we can't have People having self confidence ya know, nail polish? Sorry hon, what about having a cool and individual hair colour? Hahah no, no individuality allowed here. But what we do have? A good passing standard in our hsc. If you even make it that far. I'm not even going to begin with the issues surrounding the attempted silencing of minorities in the school. But hah I guess "As far and wide we sing with pride of High School Willoughby."
Save yourself or your kids. Don't ever send them here.

This school is honestly horrendous, it will abuse you physically, emotionally and sexually. The PDHPE staff is above all else, bad beyond belief. They care more about the uniform than the actual education, they don't take in the students' emotional wellbeing and they have absolutely no compassion. The PDHPE staff especially, tells the students' to express themselves creatively and to feel free with who they are, but they limit the uniform so much. The price is also bad, for ugly uniforms, it's too overpriced. This is a public school, they don't have enough money to spend on coats that are useless and ugly, nobody wants it. Nobody is allowed to wear anything to 'express themselves'.
Overall, Willoughby Girls High School is an incompetent school that only cares about the public image and the public's opinion. They do not care about the students and their wellbeing. The teachers are druggos and most of them are high on weed when they arrive to class . They force you to do drugs with them, it's so horrible. Go to Chatswood High instead.

This school has the best Monkey bars in Australia. If you want to compete in Australian Ninja Warrior, this school has all the hanging grip strength things you need to train on (above a sandpit for safety). It is one of a kind and has to be seen to believe. The other side of the school has different shaped monkey bars circular and triangle shaped ( which moves) .

It's one of the top performing public schools in Sydney. The teachers are very capable and engaging, particularly so in the English, maths and science faculties (with a few exceptions).

The IT curriculum leaves something to be desired, but that rests with the Board of Studies (BOSTES, now known as NESA), not the school.

The school has several interest clubs, including film club (which has a competition every year), debating, LGBT+, environment club to name a few. Every two years there is also a school play which students from all years are welcome to participate in. There are also several music bands, which have preformed overseas in Hong Kong and in the Sydney Opera house within the past year.

The school is close to capacity, however a new block is meant to be built with the coming two years. There is a large oval available for recreational purposes, and one tennis court.

This is my last year at Willoughby Girls, and I can genuinely say that I will be sad when I have to leave.
