Wollemi Designs Description
When a change in roles at work freed up some extra hours every afternoon I found myself looking for something to keep me busy while everyone else was still in the office. Having had an interest in fibre arts such as knitting, weaving and creating pom poms as a child it wasn't long before I discovered macrame.
Starting out with some cheap rope and armed with hundreds of ideas from pintrest, I set about teaching myself an array of different knots and discovering some of the patterns that could be created.
Before long I had fallen in love with the therapeutic feeling of knotting and began to experiment with higher quality materials until I found the perfect fit. I have found that macrame is a constant learning process and I am continually trying out new techniques to ensure that I create a series of beautiful and unique products.
After some prodding from friends and family, Wollemi Designs has been created as a way to present my products to the greater community (and to stop my house overflowing with rope! ).
