Best to ring and book as recommended on their website, as it can be busy during school holidays and weekends

Great riverside camp site. Dog friendly too. Bit of a hairy drive down Wombeyan Caves Rd (unsealed for the most part) to get there.

Great escape so close to Sydney, and the best part was the dogs loved it. We went in July so it was very cold (tents and cars were covered in ice in the morning) so the gas didn't work too well - you'll need a lot of firewood. You can buy some from Ina but it might be cheaper to bring your own. Also bring your own drinking water, the water there doesn't follow NSW drinking water regulations.

Ina was in business-mode, make sure to have cash on you. You might be waiting a little while at the camp "office" if she's not around.

The road down to camp was super bumpy and windy, take it slowly and carefully. Went down in a VW Golf and barely had enough clearance for some of the holes/bumps/rocks.

Would definitely go there again, perhaps in warmer weather where we can swim in the river.

We have been camping here for 22 years. First visited the campground when I was 20 and have been back 3 times with my children, planing our 4th trip. Spacious by the river camp spots. Be respectful and only leave your footprint behind, take some firewood with you.
Enjoy camping.

Had a fantastic experience! The camp sites were very generous in size with fire places and well positioned toilets, the river was a perfect depth/temperature for swimming, and we saw plenty of brilliant wildlife.

We were greeted by Ina on arrival who was lovely. I'm willing to bet the people who complain about the owners here are probably a little deluded. You can tell they love their land and just want to make sure everyone can have a good time. We saw other campers leave trash and have a fire during a total fire ban. 😑 If you're respectful and use common sense you won't have any issues.

The road to the campsite was a dirt road and quite windy and bumpy. We managed in a big 2WD - just.

Can't wait to be back!

Beautiful location and hidden away. Amazing river to swim in during the day and then warm up by a fire.
Road there is a bit dodgy but that just means there's less people to deal with.
Going back again soon!

Awesome campground that is privately owned and affordable. Ina who owns the site is very nice and does provide firewood and ice. Most campsites are right on the river which is so great for swimming. Couldn't catch any fish but that didn't bother us as the location is so beautiful with lots of wildlife. There are portaloo toilets around the campground but that's it for amenities. Definitely worth the drive on the Wombeyan caves road which can be a bit scary.

This is the best camping ground. There are wallabies that come up near you, big lace monitor lizards, the river is nice to swim in (bring reef shoes for the tree roots) and it is very pretty, see photos.

No other camping grounds are as good as this one, don't even bother with them.
