Wollongong Head Lighthouse

Best place to hang around at day or night! Best place for Macca’s run and chilling with your mates. It usually dirty with all the McDonald bags and cups. It can be noisy on some night when they have the car meeting

Great views, see/read some early history, enjoy the walk around

Something about watching, smelling and being near the ocean just makes you feel alive! We visited from Canberra and even we knew that no stay in Wollongong is complete without visiting the lighthouse! Sitting in the sun, eating freshly caught oysters and feeling the salty sea breeze blowing gently was utterly divine. Such a grand and majestic structure and such a lovely place to get a good view of the ocean. Cant wait to visit again!

Lovely place to visit for a walk and enjoy the nice view :-) I spotted a huge stingray passed by from the pier, around 2m long including the tail!

A very tall light used for hundreds of years to lighten the path of sailors in the area. It looks indeed like a pillar and definitely is like one. The area around is grassy and there is a barracks underneath (luckily covered to stop people falling).A road connects this and a short walk from parking Pays off.

Awesome spot, great for photographers, especially during sunrise/sunset.

Wollongong in a nutshell - beautiful views but don't look south - the steelworks are UGLY!

If you're lucky, you may see a pod of dolphins and VERY occasionally, whales.

A nice place to walk around and take in the great views! And tap into your inner child and grab some ice cream from the ice cream truck parked near by!
