Best fish 'n chips in the north. Can be a bit expensive compared to others, but worth the trip and cost.

Best fish & chips in Wollongong. Great selection on the board.
Right next door to a bakery & just across road from bus stop & Woonona Train Station.
5- 10min walk to Woonona Beach or the park.
Plenty of parking.
Prices are resonable... you can get great hot chips, pumpkin, potato or sweet potato scollops, vegie burger, awesome hamburger with the lot, schnitzel burger, crabsticks, wings, grilled salmon or barramundi with salad, icecream, drinks to a salad sandwich.
Some tables & chairs in shop or just have fish'n chips on the beach.
Has good sized little containers of sour cream, sweet chilli or buy one with fresh chicken salt.
Shop is perfectly placed at The Circle & has other handy shops around it...

Really don't want to give any stars. We have just had the WORST fish and chips from Wonoona Beach Shop. The fish was passable but the chips were disgusting. I think they had been cooked and then recooked several times. The oil after taste was awful. The WORST chips I have ever eaten. A complete waste of money and very disappointing. Don't know how they got third place in the recent Mercury Best Fish and Chip shop competition. I certainly will not be going back and I would not recommend to anyone.

Ordered crumbed fish and serve of chips.
The chips were the worst chips I've ever had.
They were overed cooked and fatty.
The fish was oily as well.
Won't come here again.

Best fish and chips around

Lousy. Tried their chips again after 10+ years and still lousy. Thought they would have improved by now. Old oil and bloody expensive. Definitely won't be going back EVER!!!!!!!

Simply amazing food. Best fish and chips I have had in a long time. Fresh fish and home made chips. Stunning, burgers are good too.
