Staff was not helpful...inquired about changing bread before ordering sandwich and staff indicated that’s how the cook makes the sandwich... So what if the customer does not like pumpernickel bread but wants everything else in the sandwich? Why not just advise that you could build your own sandwich instead of making the customer feel like their wishes aren’t important?

Awsome place. Best waffles. Just a bit of wait before they can give you a table. The inside of the cafe is like you are in a tree house in the forest and it looks amazing. A very warm and comfortable feeling when you are inside the cafe.

Its a cozy, warm and a perfect place for cold gloomy evening. I loved the ambience of the place with apt lighting and beautiful music. The staff is so friendly and the food is awesome. It made our evening perfect which ended with the beautiful dinner. Its definitely must a try.

This is the most 'Katoomba' place in all of Katoomba. If you're visiting form near of far I'd strongly recommend visiting this great place because it really is the embodiment of the area. Delicious, fresh baked bread and produce make for very yummy meals. It looks fantastic, a mix of a bakery, an Irish pub and something from Tolkien. Its great. My one criticism is that perhaps the staff are a little too chilled. I would have ordered more food but they just didn't seem fussed. The food was a little slow to come but when it arrived and the bread looked like it had just come out of the oven all was forgiven. I loved the look of the menu too, it was fun to read and it was almost like a game discovering the different things hidden around on it. I can see though that some may find it confusing. Great vibe and great food. Can't recommend it enough for tourists looking for a taste of Katoomba.

Recommend the garden burger and the prices are good. Not quite as healthy as it could be, in particular the salt levels are too high.
The loaves of bread are great and good value at $6.50.
Be aware that it can be unpredictably shut all day for religious reasons (it's run by a Christian cult) and is always closed on Saturday.
Generally they don't proselytise but if you give them an opening they will. Be careful in there... :-)

One of the best lunches we have ever had. My wife and I were in town for our 2nd anniversary and were recommended yellow deli by family friends. My God it was good. Had to wait a bit for our food as the kitchen was getting slammed by orders but it was every bit worth the wait. I had the "deli rose" which is corned beef and roast beef served on a onion roll with provolone cheese and their special sauce. It was the most delicious roll. My wife had the garden burger with tomato soup. She loved hers too. Staff were really friendly too. We will definitely go back.

There is just a magic in this place, you can feel as soon as you walk in. It's very homely with the food and the people really reflecting that community that brings you this cafe. Just go and experience it, that's all I can say.

Tried a dandy (dandelion) latte, and that was good, and I'll definitely have to try the Maté latte next time. The sandwiches are where its at considering they make everything including the bread in house. Great place to just sit and relax with friends.

The atmosphere is nice and cozy here. Really liked most of the staff we had interaction with. Sandwiches are in rich flavour, juicies are home pressed. Nice and fresh. Country music in the background, many people had lunch. It's a popular place. Escape from the city or try something new to have the feeling it's a must try! In my list I usually try to decide if I want to go back again. I'll go back again and try their soup and salads for sure! :)
