Jamie and Sam are sisters, both in their 20’s, who are working to ditch the stigma that comes with having a disability once and for all.
Diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia, a rare degenerative neuro muscular disorder in their teens. Currently, there is no known treatment or cure for Friedreich’s Ataxia but the girls are determined to live their young lives to the best of their ability...

THE WEEK THAT WAS: It has been a VERY busy week for Youngcare and we wanted to celebrate with you!
Our #brickbybrick campaign is off to a fantastic start (but there is still a long way to go), Malcolm Turnbull showed his support and bought 5 bricks at Teneriffe Festival, we had a picnic in New Farm park with friends, family, tunes by local band Between Kings and Nova 106.9. Campaign Sponsors Brickworks Building Products showed incredible support with the delicious BBQ! We ev...en travelled to Sydney to spread the word about our new campaign and met so many wonderful new supporters.
Finally, our friends Sylvia Jeffreys, Simon Pryce, David Campbell and Lauren Hannaford are all running City2Surf and got the whole TODAY Show team behind them to help raise money for young people with high care needs to live the young lives we all deserve!
