I’ve always been mesmerised by human ability to create and self-express. As a kid I used to make my dad draw caricatures so I could watch him do it. However I never ended up finding a good use to my own hands. Soaping is something I finally stuck by.

Producing a quality soap bar took me well over a year. Now I can say that I can deliver an excellent product that contains more than ingredients listed at the back of the packed.

‘Yulka’ is a variation of my name ‘Yulia’ or ‘Julia’. This is how my dad calls me. I always thought that if I finally start something, this is what the name of my business is going to be.

My soap is vegan, contains no palm oil or nasty chemicals. However, it is important to understand that saponification is a chemical reaction between fats /oils and alkali (lye /caustic soda /sodium hydroxide). As a result of this reaction alkali is fully neutralised by fats /oils leaving behind what’s called ‘natural’ or ‘true’ soap.
