About Soil Wealth Cowra
Follow the progress of vegetable soil management practices which improve soils and profitability
Soil Wealth Cowra Description
Soil Wealth delivers integrated information on vegetable soil management practices that help growers and advisers use and support robust vegetable production that is profitable and sustainable.
As well as this Cowra site, demonstration sites at Gippsland and Bathurst provide local examples of how to integrate these practices into local vegetable farms.
Follow these sites to see the benefits that can flow from use of controlled traffic, reduced tillage, cover crops and biofumigants, soil biology and crop nutrition.
Benefits can include improvements in soil health, production, greenhouse gas emissions and more efficient use of the key resources of fuel and fertilisers.
On-farm activities are supported by Applied Horticultural Research through funding from the Australian Government's Caring for Our Country program.
Soil Wealth is run jointly by Applied Horticultural Research and RMCG.
Soil Wealth is funded by Horticulture Innovation Australia Limited using the vegetable industry levy and funds from the Australian Government.
