Used them twice late at night for our dogs. Both times the staff were excellent and pricing was fair.

Too expensive and advised that no one else could do the surgery. After getting an estimate of around $9000 picked our boy up for second opinion. Wow second opinion was up to max of $2000 and ended up way less. Less surgery required also as well as GA sessions. Im sure they are good vets but cant understand why they cost 6 times more than a other vets? Seems crazy for same outcome... highly recommend gungahlin emergency vets and sonza.

It was 3am on a Monday and our aged Golden Retriever had suffered a stroke. The staff could not have been more caring and compassionate. They were gentle with both our darling old dog and ourselves and gave us time and privacy to say goodbye to her. We appreciated their thoughtfulness and understanding at such a sad time.

Had to bring my dog in on the weekend. Vets were really good were able to provide treatment and told me about costs upfront. Unfortunately the second time visiting here but both have been expensive but high level of professional care made each experience worth it.

Staff were very knowledgeable and saw my cats straight away (10pm on a Friday) for suspected lily poisoning. They did advise me that even with treatment my cats could still die as I hadn't realised what was wrong straight away. The treatment was VERY expensive ($2600 for staying overnight with monitoring and a ton of fluids) but they survived and are happy and healthy two years on.
I would recommend bracing yourself for the large cost but if you're like me, I would do the same thing again if required and I'm grateful that these guys were able to save my pets

We believe our cat was poisoned by weed killer that our gardeners used and we took our cat to this vet that night. The vet said we had to leave him there overnight for them to monitor him as they could not figure what was wrong. This would cost upfront $1000.00 down. During the night I had to ring back several times to find out what was going on and eventually, over five hours later after midnight, said they "thought" it was snake bite and they would have to test him. I asked why this was not already done and the only answer was "because of the cost"... I had already put $1000 dollars down for whatever treatment was required. At about 5.00am they ring to let me know he had "INDICATIONS he had been bitten by snake" and that we needed to pay $500 extra over the $1000.00 down already by credit card right then and there over the phone for antivenom and that it would be better to treat him with 2 doses at $1000.00 and that he might still die. Our alternative was to wait an couple of hours, pick him up and take him to a daytime vet and pay less for antivenom but that he would more likely die in the meantime because of the delays. This was nine and a half hours after I had taken him to the vets the night before. Then I get called an hour later to let me know he died and that I had to come in and pick him up. I arrived, they made me pay another $200 dollars and sent me on my way without even any sign of sympathy. When I requested details of the treatment I was treated rudely and scowled at by the manager... it was a disgusting experience. I will never go back there again. Since then I have heard of other people that have had similar experiences. Avoid at all costs.

we as liscenced wildlife carers have had 2 poor experiences. With a lack of interest or knowledge in wildlife an animal in clear distress was refused care for 2 hrs plus , no communication was given or released when asked, we were refused to see her and refused to remove her. If senior vets have no interest or expertise in this field it needs to be clearly stated. Don't accept the animals in the first place. Poor poor effort yesterday by all vets especially the one in charge of the wombat in our care

The vets were amazing both times we unfortunately had to visit. The price is heavy but for piece of mind and care we could not rate them high enough. For after hours vet care the service is second to none.

I was so impressed with all aspects of care provided for my cat. From the initial phone call to the reception and the vet staff were very helpful caring and professional. The staff clearly and patiently explained my options and the costs involved. My cat was not as sick as many of the other animals but we were treated with care and respect. I observed the clinic became very busy with lots of sick animals and the workload for staff seemed very high and stressful and yet staff were calm and professional and you can see they have genuine care for the patients. I was very happy that we did not have to wait too long. I was expecting it to be a long wait as my cat was not as ill as many others- but we were seen promptly. The vet was very thorough and took time to answer my questions and ensure I understood the treatments. I wish my own medical practitioner was as thorough and attentive !

It is a big expense however the staff informed me every step of the way about the cost and explained that I could choose to wait to see my vet in business hours for less money but also was very welcome to come in. Having animals there is always a potential for unexpected costs and to me this is just the price to pay for having an after hour service. I am happy to pay for the service and hope it will always be around. It's much cheaper to see a vet in daytime sure but sometimes things happen out of hours and I can't put a price on having quality health care for my pets. I was so happy with every aspect and am so thankful for the service and for the way staff made a stressful time much easier. Worth every cent.
