Burbury Hotel Canberra

Nowhere near as good as the high teas the Hyatt Canberra used to have where you could select your own food from a fully laden table and sit on comfortable lounges.

Great hotel. Staff were very friendly and willing to help. Was a little pricey, but the rooms were very modern and comfortable. Wifi was patchy in my area of the hotel.

Had a lunch at the Japanese restaurant within the hotel - Lilopang. Food is Japanese fusion. Reasonably priced and great quality. Serves were of a good size. We had the working lunch. Great service. Highly recommended. I do suspect that the restaurant is an independent tenant at the hotel and I have no idea as to the hotel otherwise.

Spacious room and clean furnishings. Reception staff were friendly and accommodating. The location is good with restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Loved It! The bed was a cloud. Decor was fantastic. My only complaint was the front desk staff who didn't offer any information about the facilities and were not overly helpful when asked.

Make sure you upgrade to suite if staying in the non apartment rooms. Standard room is too dark and noisy. Odd fittings, ie, next to sink the towels are kept in cupboard, but cupboard handles have no finger hook so if u have wet hands, they slip off and u can't get to the towels. The kitchenette in the suite is just an electric fry pan, no range hood though so the room fills with smoke and leaves smell etc. No aerated knife's so if u cooked steak you're out of luck. There's literally 35 butter knives in the room though... 35....

A great location and professional service from staff. Only stayed overnight but the rooms were fantastic and modern. Would stay again.

Have been staying at this hotel every time when visiting Canberra. At the beginning the experience was really good, huge feather pillows and linen were a main reason to choose this hotel. Unfortunately, last two times there was only one feather pillow and other 3 were something different really hard to sleep on. The tv in the room won't turn off using a remote control. Sink was blocked, the vanity kit box was empty. Clock on the bedside table was missing. It's really sad because it used to be my favorite hotel. Hopefully there will be improvements.

Although I've only stayed at 5 hotels in Canberra, this is by far the best yet.

I travel a fair bit, and it's good that I've found a place in Canberra that I won't hesitate coming back to.

Unbeatable for its very reasonable price.

Service is far beyond what your paying for... You won't be disappointed.

This place is amazing. Surrounded by delicious restaurants, I've stayed in the hotel but more often in their apartments. The hotel and the apartment are so beautiful and the beds are the most comfortable one that you will find in a hotel. I love their linen and their pillows too!

Enough said about the bed, you will truly be able to have a "home" holiday away from home. I have been back here a few times already and that surely won't be the last time.

Also the staff is so friendly and professional. It was my birthday and they got the entire staff to sign in a Happy Birthday Card. If this is not doing the extra miles to make your clients happy, I dont know what is!

Great and clean bit spa pool close early in evening

Great location, close to all Canberra landmarks; the one bedroom apartment was fully furnished, with a very well designed kitchen.

Great location close to shops, cafes and sporting facilities. Rooms were well up keep and pleasant.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment that was lovely. The only down side was the limited opening hours of the pool and gym. I can't understand why they closed it so early in summer and think they should stay open later.
