Great vet hospital, all the staff are friendly and helpful. They are thorough with investigations and not unreasonably priced. They are quite a large facility so they have many staff to problem solve if there are issues. They really care about the families and pets that come to visit.
Great vets. Not the cheapest.
Amazing vets and really nice staff. I had a little dog, Oskar who was really old and they helped him with all kinds of things, but eventually they told us that it would be horrible for him to continue. It was the best it could have been. Now I have 2 new puppies and they are taking puppy classes. The vets tell you what you should do and show you with their dog. Over all outstanding!!
My little Jack Russell Hendrix, had his face and mouth mauled by a staffy cross. I had no appointment , I just showed up with an injured dog. The reception staff and the vet were phenomenal, they will give you honest and straightforward advice. They are also reasonable with the prices for treatment, I paid a lot less then I was expecting, especially considering I had no appointment. They did a follow up call to check on my little one the day after he was home. Plus the return appointment at the vet was free! just a quick check up! 5/5 JUST AWESOME!!!!
my cat had pulled open a scar and it had started to look infected so I was calling around for someone to see her ASAP. I briefed the receptionist, who was kind enough to make an urgent appointment for me the next day - when I arrived (running late) they were understanding and patient, and still made time to see me (which was much appreciated). Dr Kijlstra was affable and sensitive, and spoke with clarity about his main concerns when he examined her. We reached a care plan and made another appointment for a week later, and I went on my way.
A few days later, one of the receptionists (Ashley, I think) called me to check on how she was healing up - an extra step that was unnecessary, but kind and thoughtful. In the stress around the wound itself, this compassionate step was much appreciated.
I'm a long time customer here because they understand just how important my pets are to my family. Highly rated surgical suite, good customer service and follow up.
Reception staff are friendly happy & most efficient. Vets are so kind & informative, a truely excellent vet.
I was able to get an appointment on the same day that I called. They helped with my dogs health issues and got her all up to scratch with vaccinations etc. My dog (Indy) seemed to enjoy the visit and the staff really interacted with her well.
The staff were great taking in our poodle for us the night we faced the bushfire emergency, and at no charge. They really eased our stress in a scary situation. Thank you 😊 Thankfully we are all okay but I will always remember this great service.
We have been going to Canberra Vet Hospital with our cats and dog for 16 years. Friendly, caring and genuine staff - most evident when our beautiful cat got cancer and passed away - they could not have been more professional yet sympathetic. Can't recommend them highly enough.
