Waldorf Canberra Apartment Hotel

2 bedroom apartment was adequate, but a little dated. Would benefit from a refresh

Wonderful experience! Rooms are huge and included a full-size office and lounge, reasonably central location and very helpful staff. My room even included a fully-equipped kitchen!

Nothing too fancy but very comfortable and had everything we needed. We stay here because it's one of the only places where I'm guaranteed a bath.

While I wasn't intending to visit the Waldorf, the staff were incredibly helpful in pointing me in the right direction. Friendly and Welcoming staff and a great part of the city with shoppin and restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Nice accommodation, a little dated but all functional and nice. Pool is very 70s and not wide but is service level.

Nice and friendly staff, fairly quiet, appears to have good facilities like a pool. Was unclear if adjacent restaurant/cafe was open or not. Rec room couch had seen better days.

There were some good and bad things about this hotel. First the good. The location is great. My room was a fully furnished apartment with a kitchen, plenty of space, bed reasonably comfortable. Now the bad. When we arrived (around 6pm), there was no one at the desk and the door was closed so we had to wait 15 minutes in the freezing cold. In the middle of the night I smelled smoke in my room. I couldn't understand where it is coming from. Only then it hit me - I was staying on a smoking floor! I wish they told me this in the beginning! Don't stay on floor 2 - it smells like smoke.

Not only is it very ordinary, the bed was uncomfortable and there was a problem with the heat. They weren't willing to look at the issue for 45 minutes due to only one person being on duty. The location is good but the amenities are completely lacking.

The hotel is a little dated inside, and could probably do with some renovation, but the room I had (room with an office) was a good size, and had a fully equipped I kitchen as well as washing facilities. The office was also a good size, but i found myself just working from the table in the main living area. You do get a bit of road noise at night, but guess it can't really be helped. I was pretty disappointed with the gym facilities, which were dated, in a pretty poor condition, and also only had one of each item of equipment. Staff were friendly, and the hotel was in a good location.

The big issue for me was the poor wifi; it would drop out fairly regularly and be hard to reconnect to. It was also slow and limited to 1GB per day, which seemed a lot but I used it surprisingly quickly (maybe background updates?). I ended up paying $30 for 8GB, which I didn't manage to fully use because the connection was so poor.

Great coffee at the restaurant and a great range of businesses within.

Great location. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was 2 singles pushed together but otherwise okay. Shower over bath with a curtain not a screen.
